1 cup All-bran
1 cup sugar
1 cup mixed cake fruit
1 cup milk
1 cup self-raising flour
Mix All-bran, sugar, and fruit in a bowl, pour on milk, and let stand for 45 minutes. Add sifted flour and mix well. Grease a 2 lb loaf tin and line it with greaseproof paper. Fill with mixture and bake about 1 1/2 hour in centre of oven at 325 F, Mark 3.
Serve sliced, spread with butter if liked.
